Here Comes the Bride

I guess the Quakers will miss the rapture.  They seem to be too busy planning social reforms.  I heard there will     

be signs at the end times,  and sure enough you can see the billboards all over town.  There are some who think the second coming is slated for May 21, and  universe is to end on May 22nd.  But some how the Friends at the Firstday Meeting have missed the significance of the signs.  They have a full weekend planned.

Me, I still plan to attend the wedding feast.  I've RSVP'D.  But there is some question about the date and time. 

I was told it was to be a surprise party, to thrill the bride and build her anticipation a bit.  I know that all the guests haven't recieved their invitations yet. 

I'm looking forward to the feast, and seeing all my old friends and family there.  But the father-in-law of  the bride is planning to extend every comfort, offer the bride all the elegance he can arrange for her special day.  That's why he's holding off.   

And all the invitations--he's put the bride in charge of sending them out.  She needs a little more time, I guess.  The father-in-law of the bride doesn't want to miss anyone.  Everyone who is thirsty is to drink freely from the waters of life. 

The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come!"   See you there!
